(Los Angeles, CA) Santa Clarita, California based Gerard Cosmetics has announced their participation in SCV (Santa Clarita Valley) Senior Center Golf Classic on October 19th at TPC Valencia Golf Course.

According to the SCV Senior Center website, “The SCV Senior Center hosts an intergenerational, ethnically diverse volunteer program composed of seniors, adults, teens, and children who offer their time and talents to support our mission. They help with preparation and distribution of approximately 121,000 meals annually. Volunteers assist the Support Services department completing an average of 35,000 client contacts annually. Skilled volunteers are instrumental in the success of our Adult Day Care program, which provides over 2000 days of respite to individuals with dementia and their caregivers. Instructors and group leaders are comprised primarily of volunteers, allowing the ability to offer over 3000 classes, activities, and groups to over 40,000 participants annually. We are grateful to our extraordinary volunteers for the powerful impact they have on promoting quality of life for seniors.”

The special event is being produced by HandsOn Santa Clarita, a local non-profit providing support and resources for connecting non-profit organizations with volunteers, groups and businesses to meet the needs of the community.

According to the HandsOn Santa Clarita website, 9/11: Day of Service & Remembrance “Will honor those who fell victim to September 11th and praise the heroic efforts of our military. By participating in HandsOn Santa Clarita’s 9/11 Day of Service & Remembrance individuals can forever remember and pay tribute to the victims of September 11th and honor those who rose in service in response to the attacks.
